Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, nurturing and Christ centered environment for school-aged children.
Hours
After School: 2:30pm-5:30pm
Full Days: 7:30am-5:30pm
Daily Activities
Our program is held on the campus of Gospel Baptist Church with access to a spacious homework room, a full size gymnasium, hiking trails and an outdoor playground. Children are given a snack and quiet time to work on their homework and assignments. Our summer program consists of theme weeks loaded with fun activities and field trips to entertain your child's imagination and to provide a new exciting atmosphere on a weekly basis.
Field Trips
There is an additional activity fee that covers all summer field trips. The summer activity fee will be listed in our summer calendar. We do schedule occasional field trips for full days during the school year and their costs are posted in advance for parents.
Summer Activity Fee
$350.00 /Per-Student
May be paid in two installments.
After School Rates
$75.00 per week for the first child, plus $50 a week for additional children. There is no charge for the 2 weeks at Christmas or for spring break if you give a 7 day notice of your child’s absence.
DISCOUNTED WEEKS
The weekly fee of $75.00 is due every week except for the following exceptions. Thanksgiving week (November 24-28) is discounted to a $30 weekly fee. There is no weekly fee for the two weeks that school is closed for Christmas (December 22-January 2) or Easter (March 30-April 3) unless your child attends for the full days that GAP is open. For all other weeks that are shortened due to holidays, teacher workdays, and inclement weather days, the full weekly fee of $75 is still due.
Full Day Rates
The daily fee for your child to attend a full day at GAP is $15 a day above your weekly after school fee of $75.00. Please make a request one week in advance for your child to attend on a full day. GAP full days are listed on our GAP calendar that will be provided before the school year begins.
Late Charges
If weekly payment is not received on the first day that your child attends for the week, a $5.00 late fee will be added to your account. If an account is three weeks behind a child will not be able to return until the account has been paid in full.
Late Pick Up
If your child is picked up after 5:30pm, you will be charged a $5.00 late fee per child. At 5:35 you will be charged an additional $1.00 per child for every minute thereafter.
Absences
Please leave a message at 336.317.3627 to notify us of your child's absences from school.
Discipline
We always look to praise a child for good behavior but when necessary our form of discipline is the "time out" method. Time out is always enforced in a loving and explanatory way. In extreme cases, a parent may be contacted to pick up their child or they may receive a behavior notice that explains the behavior that took place.
Delinquent Accounts
If an account is three weeks behind, your child will not be able to return to GAP until the balance is paid in full. You will still be charged the weekly fee until the balance is paid in full.
Phones and Tablets
Phones and tablets are not allowed at GAP. If a student has a phone or tablet when they arrive from school, they need to remain in their book bag. They should not bring them to GAP on full days.
Holidays
A holiday schedule is given to parents at the beginning of every school year that lists the days GAP will be closed.
