Missionary
It has been a long standing practice that our church designate 25% of its annual budget to the cause of missions, both at home and abroad. Above this, during Vacation Bible School, we take up offerings to support a different mission program each year.
This year, the money we bring in will go to help our own Missions Team who will be going to Jamaica this fall. In 2008...A team from Gospel Baptist Church stepped out by faith and followed God’s leading to Montego Bay, Jamaica. After God supplied all we needed in 6 short weeks, He continued to work miracles as we travelled, arrived, ministered and served the sweet people of Jamaica. Eight precious souls received Christ as a result of this trip and vital relationships began. It was clear that this was God’s work and we wanted to continue to be a part of it.
In 2009...A team of 15, from Gospel Baptist, returned to Montego Bay, Jamaica to serve and love the people of Canterbury. It was amazing to witness the miracles God orchestrated. Not only did the Lord provide much needed contacts, but He continued to weave our hearts together with the people of Canterbury and with the 182 people who trusted Jesus Christ as personal Savior!
In 2010...there are many opportunities for you to be used of the Lord. The team, once it is assembled, will be part of the planning process. There are many ministry opportunities. Some of these are as follows: infirmary ministry, orphanage ministry, Bible clubs, service projects, sports ministries, school ministries and more.
