We teach children God's Word, on their level, hoping to evangelize them and help them to grow and mature in Christ. Vacation Bible School is a vital part of our outreach ministry for children each summer. Our children enjoy singing in our children's and junior choirs. Some of our children's ministry activities include: Summer camp, Kite Saturday, Bowling, Bike Rodeo, Hiking, Parties, Fall Festival, making Fruit Baskets for our shut-ins, etc.

We have a growing youth ministry here made up of 6th through 12th grade. This Ministry meets every Sunday night at 6:00pm in the youth room for games and Bible study. The teens are involved every year in various activities and outings as well as summer camp. The youth ministry is led by our youth pastor, Jason Wilson. Jason has been the full-time youth/worship pastor here since April 2016. Along with Jason, there are many other volunteers who help every week and are so important to the success of our youth ministry.
Our purpose statement: "Vital Youth Ministries exists to reach non-believing students with the gospel, connect them with other Christians, help them grow in Christ-likeness, and serve others through ministry all to glorify God."
If you are interested in getting more information on the Vital Youth's Ministry of Gospel Baptist Church, please contact Pastor Jason.
Our College & Career Ministry exists to carry out the purposes given to the church in Scripture. These purposes involve upreach, inreach, and outreach. We are called to reach up to God and develop our relationship with Him, reach in to other believers and grow in Christlikeness, and reach out to unbelievers and share the gospel message of hope with them. Our Bible Study class focuses on the middle of these three—inreach. Our class is discussion based so we can learn from each other as we look into God’s Word together. We meet in room 208 at 10:45am every Sunday where you will find us with our Bibles, coffee, and donuts.
We have two Bible Study Fellowship Classes for women only. One class meets Sunday mornings at 10:45am, and is taught by Melba Atkins & Lora Weaks. The other class meets at 6:00pm on Sundays, and is The Joyful Woman Class & is taught by Karen Luttrell. This class is for any of the ladies starting at college age and up. Besides our Bible Study Fellowship classes, we enjoy monthly Fellowships, Ladies Conferences, an Exercise class and our annual Ladies Confernce that we sponsor. We also enjoy taking meals to ladies getting out of the hospital.
Besides many opportunities for service, our men enjoy Men's fellowships, including prayer breakfasts and weekly open gym basketball on Tuesdays. Several of our men participate in the various church teams and recreations such as the golf tournament, softball, cornhole tournaments and bowling leagues. We have two Bible Study Fellowship Classes for men only. One class meets Sunday mornings at 10:45am, and is taught by Lee Fulk. The other class meets on Sunday Evenings at 6:00pm, and is taught by Ray Perdue. Other men enjoy the auditorium class taught by Harlie Miller or the married couples class taught by Paul Toponce.
Everyone wants to be a part of this group but you may be too young! This is only for Senior Citizens! (You may be considered for this group if you are not a senior citizen but are married to a senior citizen, are a grandparent or can think of another good reason to be a part.) This group enjoys monthly fellowships and or trips. We usually go on two overnight trips a year, some include two nights away.
The Shut In Ministry Team's number one goal is keeping in touch with our members who are Home Bound. We want to stay on top of any needs they may have and, as a church family, to do what we can to help them.
We make regular visits, calls, send cards, mail DVD's of the Sunday services along with a weekly bulletin and The Daily Bread Devotional. Even though, they may not be able to attend church with us, we want them to still feel very much a part of our church family. We want to let them know they are not forgotten and how much we love and care for them.
God tells us in Matthew Chapter 25, when we do these things for those who cannot, we are doing it to Jesus Christ, Himself.
The Purpose of the Worship Ministry of Gospel Baptist Church is above all to glorify God. Our aim is to use music and other creative expressions of worship to bring honor to the Lord and by doing so, provide a platform upon which the church body can be unified together in corporate worship to the Lord. The most viable, consistent expression of worship in which we as a worship ministry engage the church is during church celebration gatherings, i.e. Sunday Morning Worship. We represent a wide variety of musical styles, however we carefully select songs that are biblically sound and enrich believers’ corporate worship. We have a multiple-faceted ministry including the following teams: Adult Worship Choir, Children and Junior Choirs, Praise Teams, Worship Bands, Special Singers, Worship Technology Teams, and Drama Team.
If you are interested in getting information on how you too can get connected with one of these exciting teams in the growing Worship Ministry, please contact Pastor Jason.

Upward sports is a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the "win at all costs" mentality prevalent in many of the children sports leagues found today. Founded on the value that "Every child is a winner" and that winning is about so much more than the final score, teaching players the sport specific skills as well as sportsmanship.
