Gospel Baptist Church has been a vital ministry in Greensboro for over sixty-five years. The congregation is made up of friendly, loving people, who together are serving the Lord Jesus Christ and are seeking to minister to the needs of others. There are service opportunities and activities for the entire family, from preschoolers to senior citizens.
We are a conservative, independent, Bible-believing congregation, dedicated to carrying out the Great Commission by supporting the work of missions in our community and around the world. We seek to share the Gospel and build up the believer with God's Word.
The congregation is led by Paul Luttrell, who has been the senior pastor since 1984. His wife, Karen, serves faithfully in various church ministries. Paul and Karen have three married daughters. Harlie Miller, a full-time professor at Piedmont Baptist College, has been the assistant pastor since 1994. He and his wife, Kellie, have two children.
As we worship our Lord and enjoy the fellowship of believers, it is our aim and prayer that Gospel Baptist Church will bring honor and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ.
The inspiration of the Bible, both Old and New Testament; the creation of man by the direct act of God; that everyone is born a sinner; the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; His identification as the Son of God: His deity; vicarious atonement of the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross; His bodily resurrection from the tomb; His power to save men from sin; the new birth through regeneration by the Holy Spirit; the gift of eternal life by the grace of God, received through faith in Christ; the rapture of the Church; the visible and personal return of Christ; the eternal doom of the lost, and the eternal blessedness of the redeemed.
